gratitude to my mentor, Mr. JAYABALAN and Mr. SASIDHARAN who have been a
constant source of information to me. I am thankful to my training guide Mr.
GANESHAN and Mr. SIVARAM, LMW and SIMTA for their guidance and encouragement
without which the satisfactory completion of my training would not have been
possible. They showed all the patience and abundant encouragement throughout
the training period.

PREFACE
Industrial training is of great relevance
in imparting quality technical education to students. It provides the practical
knowledge in industrial environment that is very important for engineering
students. It gives exposure to the
actual working condition in the factory; various technical and non- technical
problems faced by an engineer and also teach engineering ethics.
Industrial training at LMW and SIMTA was a good exposure to the advanced engineering technology, efficient management and a rich work culture for me.
