Everyone would be aware of ' India Shining - Corporate advertisement ' , Is it ??? Its a real , big and tough question. And answers are within you. Even though bulls market, Software, Telecom, finance etc... had a consistent growth, India lags in many other things. But its awesome to know , that India is the Fastest developing economy next to china, or even we can say next only to china.

Though revenues through Indian software business had gone to $10 billion, and Forex reserves has crossed more than 50,000 crores. And sensex crossed the 6000 bench mark, And we feel that, we have been to a positive side of the life, India is marching towards a brighter side, but there are some key facts we have to think about.

Indian IT enabled services & BPO business crossed revenues almost $ 3 billion, but then if we see it through lens, its just 3% of the worlds total BPO business. So still BPO business contracts are yet to come here.

We say India shining, because economy is developing at a higher rate, the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) has achieved a bench mark, but still our IT business revenue is just 7% of the Worlds total IT business revenues.

Though Infosys, Wipro, TCS are major players with almost 20,000 employees each, the worlds big players have almost few lakh ppl with them, say GE, EDS, each have more than a lakh employees.

So with this just 7% of total software business (w.r.t. overall world revenues) we feel India shining, what if, remaining business had come here, ya sure one day it will come. But here comes the question, When does it come? In a recent interview to business today, CEO of Adobe ( sorry I couldn't remember his name now,) said, that India has excellent, qualified manpower. But still Innovations are occurring ONLY at US.

ya, India lags in this. We do all software services business, but can u name a few software product companies which are doing big business here. No.

Indians can proud by saying, the J# of visual studio .net, product from Microsoft is developed by full Hyderabad Team, but the chief architect of the project, and the chief test manager, and the project design is not done by Indians. Only we have executed what those ppl have said, we didn't do any thing new.

Because, we Indians are good at analytical, but we lag at creative skills. Yes. we have to accept it. Western ppl have a good creative skills. That's why, worlds most product based companies are based on US. Microsoft, IBM, Adobe, Macromedia to name a few.

Why can't Indians develop a OS like Linux, or a database like DB2. It's possible, if we have, that C-Factor --> Creativity.

Apart from Tally, can any one name any software product which has been created in India. But most of the banks in US uses software services from Polaris, i-flex and Infosys. Why this. We lead in services, but in products, or in general...Innovations, we lag...

We might have got mails saying.. Microsoft has so much % Indians, Dell has this much % Indians etc... But why...we go there and work...You may say, bcoz they offer a good job, and we don't have even a job here, but if u think seriously, you may land up with one fact. i.e, ppl got job in Microsoft, just bcoz, billgates had innovative ideas..and established a big business corporation through that. Like wise, every Indian professional work there at US , are obserbed only for their analytical skills. There are only very very few persons in the core - team for product innovations. We need to work more on R&D. Bcoz, only if u keep on do research on a technology you may achieve something.

Not only with Software technology. If we see in the recent centuries ( nt even yrs...) India, has not many innovations, Only the Western countries has much innovations, We may say...our ancient ppl had this..that...but what we have now..only those records and nothing else. So what made depreciation in this...And the solution is our ability to think...think...and think!!!

Most of the patents-rights for Pharmaceutical products are hold by western companies, Even our own reddies lab, Ranbaxy doesn't have much while compared with Western organizations.

Automobile - India still has a attachment of western, with this sector tooo.... Maruthi - Suzuki , Hero Honda , Kawasaki Bajaj,..No Indian company has their own 100% automobile development company. Except Tata Motors. ( That too, some design are mainly done by UK based firms.)..Why...The same reason - Lags in innovations - Creativity -New ideas.

Construction - L&T is one of the world famous company. And L&T in India, has almost all the finest landmarks with credits to them, but even L&T is a not a 100% Indian based firm.

Advertising - Media :- This is the important field where this so called creativity plays. I can say you a simple example, compare Hutch advertisements, with that of Airtel, RPG ( Aircell now), Escotel. Hutch stands different, The Follow me Advt. of Hutch, Pulli rajavuku Aids varuma, arjun amma yaru ? all these campigns are created not only awareness, but made all of us to talk abt it. Thats the reach. Its just simple bcoz, of the creativity involved in it. And all Hutch advts are unique. Bcoz, of the media agencies involved in it. Ya, the Worlds best media and advertising agencies such as O&M, World Tel, etc...are of western countries. Our own Indian agencies, just lag creativity. And this is a major setback.

Creativity, Its the major thing in Business. As one magazine in India says " Business is Marketing " For that marketing stuff we need to have a good creative skills.

If we see in all this major issues. We Indians have no credits for any noteworth mentioning innovation. We should feel bad about it. And we should start immediately. To develop our creative thoughts.

Indians are capable of doing what ever job given to us, but cant we think of our own, y we always execute what others say, why we didn't think anything new.

Everyone knows abt IQ, but who cares about EQ (Emotional Quotient) . that's the factor we need now. To be a good entrepreneur we need good EQ. That gives good thinking ability and crisis management.

There are two ways of thinking Horizontal Thinking & Vertical Thinking ... We need to parallely develop both types of thinking. Vertical thinking allows you to go steep in your subject, which may leads you in any innovations.

Like this, we can say lot of issues. So we need to start now.

Guys. Think this seriously...Its gonna a serious big issue.

Our brain has two major logical divisions like, right and left. One is supposed for analytical skills and other one supposed for logical skills. (I don't knw which one is fr creative or other) , We have to invoke both the brain, to get a good creative and analytical skills.

Some tips to increase creativity.

Read more books, Read more innovations - stories, Discuss varios topics, Think- Think- Think, Always ask question on everything u face. Why, what, If not, Always try to find a solution for all the problem. Think different, Try to get new solutions through new methods, Have a good vision, Also a good mission, without which we cant proceed. Never ever attitude. Good Team management practises. Try out new things. And lots more stuff.
